I was the senior UI/UX designer for Stream Pirates at Captain.tv

Collaborators

Captain.tv is innovative, startup company creating games designed for streamers and their viewers with the goal of enabling collaborative, community-building gaming experiences. Not seeking to compete with the likes of main stream games, Stream Pirates was the second game following the major success of Stream Raiders, to act as a side game that a streamer would run regularly throughtout their stream. I was brought on as the sole UX and UI designer for this the game.

Style Explorations. After moodboarding some directions with the team, I mocked up a feature in the game that had been well defined and wireframed by Steph Chow, a contracted UX designer. As I gathered feedback from my team, I narrowed our direction down to two styles: one that was in-step and resonated with the keyart and one that was more minimalist, letting the artwork take front stage.
