Xbox Project Scorpio

Explored how Microsoft’s Fluent Design System could redefine the Xbox interface through light, depth, and material

As part of the Xbox org, I explored how Microsoft’s new Fluent Design System could shape the UI for Project Scorpio, the most powerful Xbox console to date. My role was to brainstorm and illustrate a wide range of interface concepts across games, movies, messaging, and social features. I applied Fluent’s principles—light, depth, acrylic material, and subtle physicality to create modern, immersive UI explorations that pushed the console experience forward and aligned with Xbox’s design vision.

Role

  • Explored how Microsoft’s Fluent Design System could translate to the Xbox experience, providing fresh visual directions and concept mockups across core surfaces such as Home, Guide, and media interfaces.
  • Created a wide range of UI explorations that applied Fluent principles—light, depth, material, and motion—to envision how the console’s interface could feel more immersive, modern, and cohesive.
