Boss Fight

A 3D animation created for the Boss Fight 3D art challenge.

I created an entry for the Boss Fight 3D challenge, where artists were given a starter template and tasked with animating a scene featuring a hero facing a towering villain. Similar to the Endless Engines challenge, this project pushed me to practice modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation within a focused brief, while experimenting with scale, character dynamics, and storytelling through motion.

Context

The Boss Fight challenge gave artists a shared template and a brief: animate a hero facing a towering villain. The constraint forces clarity. With a fixed starting point, the differentiation comes entirely from character design, movement, and the story told in a few seconds of animation. Scale, timing, and weight were the core design problems.
